Sunderland Airshow gets underway today

Hundreds of thousands are expected at the 24th Sunderland International Airshow this weekend. The event, on Roker and Seaburn seafront, will feature displays by military and civilian aircraft, including wing-walkers, classic spitfires and a display by the famous Red Arrows.
This weekends show is the largest free event of its kind in Europe. It's expected to be very busy so the advice is the get there early.
