Police have released CCTV images of man they're trying to trace in connection with an assault in York.

The incident occurred when a 20-year-old man was attacked after leaving Reflex on George Hudson Street at around 2:20am on July 21. The man was followed out of the nightclub and punched in the face by another man. The victim suffered a facial injury as a result.

The suspect is then seen picking something up off the floor and following the victim.

PC Nicola Elliot, of North Yorkshire Police said: "If you witnessed the assault or can help to identify the man caught on CCTV please contact the police or Crimestoppers straight away.

"I am particularly keen to speak with the person caught on camera shortly after the assault as I believe they may have vital information that could help me with this investigation."
