Northumberland Day in Parliament
The first ever Northumberland Day will take place in the Houses of Parliament today. The Prime Minister will get the chance to sample produce from the county.
The initiative, hosted and organised by Guy Opperman MP, will showcase the best of food and drink Northumberland has to offer. Producers will be making the journey down to the Houses of Parliament, with pies, bread, cheese, beer, and Northumberland's very own G&T on show.
Mr. Opperman has also invited the three other Northumberland MP's, Sir Alan Beith MP, Mr. Ronnie Campbell MP, and Mr. Ian Lavery MP, to invite a producer down to the day.
