Temporary Chief Constable Jacqui Cheer talks about problems with the coroner's service on Teesside
The Chief Constable of Cleveland Police has apologised for the amount of time some families have had to wait for inquests on Teesside.
The police provide officers for the coroner, and Jacqui Cheer says the relationship between police and the coroner's office is now improving. It comes after criticism that tension between the two was adding to the problems which have left some families waiting years for inquests.
However, one mother says it's time for the coroner himself to apologise.
