Seventh man arrested after Tyneside shooting
A seventh man has been arrested following a shooting on Tyneside.
A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.

A sixth person has been arrested in connection with a shooting in North Tyneside. A 47-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Another 47-year-old man was shot on 14th December at 5pm outside the Wheatsheaf Pub, near the junction of Great Lime Road and Benton Lane, in Benton. His condition is not life threatening.
– DCI Nicola Musgrove from the force's Major Crime Team"There were people in the area and we need them to come forward with any information they might have about this attack.
"At this stage our enquiries indicate this was not a random incident and as such we do not believe there is a danger to the wider public.
"At this stage it appears the people involved are known to each other and it was an isolated incident. Additional patrols are taking place and anyone with any concerns should speak with their local officers."
A 42-year-old man and a 47-year-old man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder have been bailed.
A 22-year-old man and a 21-year-old man arrested on suspicion of violent disorder have also been bailed, as has a 25-year-old woman who was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
A man shot outside a Tyneside pub is believed to have been specifically targeted.
Officers were called to The Wheatsheaf pub in Benton on Friday night after reports of a disturbance in the car park.
