Plans have been revealed today for a proposed 100 million pound renovation of South Shields town centre.
South Tyneside Council says that the area has struggled because of the current economic climate.
The council is asking developers to consider investing in the town centre regeneration - which would include, amongst other things, a new cinema, library, and shops.
