A pop up clinic is taking place in Middlesbrough on Teesside today to check members of the public for early signs of liver disease.
The 'Love your Liver' campaign uses a specialist scanner to detect the easly signs of liver damage which may be a sign of a more serious problem.
Doctors running the nationwide roadshow, which is in Berwick Hills in Middlesbrough this afternoon, say that symptoms of liver disease often go unnoticed until it is too late - making early detection vital.
Mobile liver clinic to visit Middlesbrough
A mobile clinic is visiting Middlesbrough today to offer people the chance to assess the health of their liver.
A simple skin test is carried out close to the organ which can give an early sign of damage to the liver.
The vist comes as the British Liver Trust is urging people to have three days alcohol free each week.
