Increased dangers for road workers
Workers who repair our roads are facing increasing dangers from motorists and lorry drivers.
The Highways Agency, and its North East contractor A One Plus, have released a video showing, in the bottom righthand corner, a lorry which crashes into the back of one of its cone-laying vehicles.
The accident happened near Catterick in North Yorkshire and was filmed by a camera on the back of the maintenance truck.
One of the workers had to leap to safety from the back of the vehicle only seconds before the impact.
