Jacqui Cheer has been formally appointed as the new Chief Constable of Cleveland Police.
The new Chief Constable has been acting in the role temporarily since the departure of former Cleveland Chief Constable Sean Price.
She spoke about her excitement about formally being in the role and about the changes being made by the force.

Lunchtime Update: Cleveland confirms new Chief Constable
Jacqui Cheer has been formally appointed as the new Chief Constable of Cleveland Police.
The new boss had held the post temporarily since 2011 when the force sacked its former Chief Constable Sean Price following a disciplinary hearing.

Cleveland appoints new Chief Constable
Jacqui Cheer has been formally appointed as the new Chief Constable of Cleveland Police.
