Residents of Morpeth can finally breathe a sigh of relief after waiting and worrying for four years about flooding.
The Government has announced that it will provide the final funds needed for the town's flood defence system.
Work is set to begin next month.

The Government has paid over ten million pounds towards the final part of the Morpeth flood defence scheme.
The money means that two walls and a flood dam can be built to protect nearly 500 homes from flooding.
More than ten million pounds will also be put forward by the local council.
