Man appears in court charged with Wallsend murder
A man has appeared in court charged with murder after a stabbing on North Tyneside.
25-year-old Ryan Armstrong died early on Saturday morning on Burn Close Crescent in Wallsend.
21-year-old Liam Kennedy, from Martin Road in Wallsend, has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Newcastle Crown Court on Wednesday.

Ryan Armstrong, 25, was found stabbed outside a property on Burn Close Crescent in Wallsend at 1:53am on Saturday. He was pronounced dead at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary.

Man charged over Wallsend death
Police have charged a man in connection with the death of Ryan Armstrong.
Liam Kennedy, from Wallsend, has been charged with murder. The 21-year-old is due to appear before North Tyneside Magistrates on Monday morning.
Mr Armstrong, 25, was found stabbed outside a house on Burn Close Crescent in Wallsend at 1:53am on Saturday. He was pronounced dead at the Royal Victoria Infirmary shortly after.
Three women aged 19, 25 and 45 have been released on bail. Two men, aged 19 and 20, and a 21-year-old woman have been released without further police action.

Tyneside murder victim named
A man who was stabbed to death in Wallsend has been formally identified as Ryan Armstrong.
It's believed the 25-year-old was involved in a fight at a party on Burn Close Crescent at around 1:53am on Saturday. He was taken to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary where he was pronounced dead.
His family have paid the following tribute to him:
"He was a hard working lad who was a lovely man. We are a close family."

The police investigation surrounding his death is ongoing. Seven people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

A murder investigation has been launched after a man died of a suspected stab wound on North Tyneside.
Police were called to Wallsend in the early hours of Saturday after reports of a fight at a house party. Seven people have been arrested in connection with the incident.

Murder investigation launched on Tyneside
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man was stabbed to death on North Tyneside.
Officers were called to Burn Closes Crescent in Wallsend at around 1:53am on Saturday and found a 25-year-old man in street suffering from a stab wound. He was treated by paramedics at the scene but was declared dead at Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary shortly afterwards.
It's believed the man had been at a house party at an address on the same road, and had been involved in a fight. Several people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
