Parents who park illegally outside schools as they drop off and collect their children in Sunderland could now face being fined.
A new camera car has been brought in to patrol outside schools and catch cars which are parked illegally.
Sunderland council hopes that the new technology will stop parents from parking where they should not and make the roads safer for children.

A car mounted with a camera will now patrol outside schools around Sunderland. It'll film any cars parked on the yellow lines and the owners could be fined £70. Sunderland City Council Leader, Paul Watson says he hopes it'll be a deterrent.
