The family of a man who died on Scarborough seafront have released a statement. Michael Graham, who was 19, died of stab wounds on Saturday evening, by the Olympia amusement arcades.
His family said: “We are absolutely devastated by what has happened to Mickey and we’re struggling to come to terms with the fact that he has gone.
“We hope those responsible for his death are brought to justice."
Police investigating the stabbing of a teenager in Scarborough have arrested a further seven people - bringing the total number of people arrested since the incident to nine.
19-year-old Michael Vincent Graham died just before midnight on Saturday 13 April after being stabbed near the Olympia amusement arcades on Foreshore Road.
A 17-year-old boy was also stabbed in the leg during the same incident and was taken to hospital where he remains in a stable condition.
Two teenagers were arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning and remain in police custody.
A further seven teenagers, four males and three females, have now been arrested.
Witnesses, or anyone with information that could help the police investigation, are being urged to call North Yorkshire Police on 101, or to call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
