A serious case review is being carried out into the circumstances surrounding the death of a two-month-old baby boy from Gateshead.
Logan Ormston was murdered by his mother's boyfriend.
The youngster died from serious head injuries inflicted by Karl Walker because the baby would not stop crying.
Walker was jailed for life yesterday. The baby's mother Courtney Ormston was found guilty of allowing the death of a child and given a 12 month suspended sentence.
Newcastle Crown Court heard that the baby had suffered a series of injuries - including fractured ribs, a fractured arm, and bite marks on his leg.
