A man is due to appear in court charged with death by dangerous driving, after a woman was killed in Northumberland.
64-year-old Kathleen Heslop, from Prudhoe, died after she was hit by a car while walking her dog on the town's outskirts on Saturday night.
26-year-old David Paul Robinson of Woodhead Road in Prudhoe has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving, failing to report an accident and several other driving offences.

Police are continuing to question a man after a woman was killed in Northumberland in a suspected hit and run.
65-year-old Kathleen Heslop died after she was hit by a car while walking her dog on the town's outskirts on Saturday night.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, in connection with the death of a woman in Prudhoe last night.

Northumbria Police are appealing for information from anyone who may have seen a car which hit a pedestrian and her dog late last night in Prudhoe, killing both of them.
"We need the public's help to trace the vehicle involved and we are asking for anyone who witnessed the crash or who was in the area at the time and may have seen the vehicle just before or after the incident to contact us.
"We believe the collision would have caused significant damage to the front of the vehicle so we are also asking people to contact us if they are aware of a vehicle with fresh damage to the front."

Police officers have carried out a fingertip search of the area around which a woman was killed by a hit-and-run driver.
The 64-year-old dog walker was thought to have been crossing the road near Prudhoe Hospital on Saturday evening when she was hit by a car, which did not stop. Her dog also died.

A 64-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car while out walking her dog in Prudhoe, Northumberland. The vehicle left the scene without reporting it. Her dog also died.
It happened on the B6395, near Prudhoe Hospital, at 10:25pm on Saturday. Police have set up an incident room to trace the car involved.
