The family of a man who died after being hit a bus in Stanley have paid tribute to a "happy-go-lucky man who would have done anything to help anyone."
– Elaine and Stephen, parents of Darren Lee
“Darren was a well-known and popular figure around the town of Stanley, having lived in the area all his life. He had many friends in the town with whom he enjoyed socialising and he had been on a night out when he was involved in this tragic accident.
“He was a ‘happy-go-lucky’ lad who would do anything to help anybody. He was particularly fond of spending time with his grandma, the rest of his family and his American Bulldog ‘Metz’.
“He will be much missed.”
