Tributes have been paid to a teenage girl who died in a crash on Sunday.
Lucy Duggan was a passenger in a car with a friend when it collided with another vehicle on Sunday evening in Dilston, Northumberland.
Martin Adrian Li, 21, of Ash Close, Hexham, appeared at Newcastle Magistrates court earlier charged with death by dangerous driving.
Georgina Lester, manager of Little Tinkler's nursery, where Lucy was working said she was a "natural".
She said: "Lucy was such a lovely lovely girl, you would warm to her straight away, always smiling, always happy to help.
"She was happy to be with the children and the children loved her.
"She was one of them students who came here and fitted in straight away.
"It was definitely a vocation for Lucy."
