Former Sunderland footballer Stephane Sessegnon has pleaded guilty to drink driving, driving without insurance or licence.

The former Sunderland footballer Stephane Sessegnon has been banned from driving for 20 months, after pleading guilty to drink driving, and driving without a full UK licence or insurance.

The striker, who now plays for West Brom, was pulled over in August, at the same time as his teammates on Wearside were playing in the League Cup.

He was found to be twice the legal alcohol limit.

Sessegnon pleads guilty to driving offences

Stephane Sessegnon has attended Newcastle Magistrates' Court and pleaded guilty to driving offences including drink driving. He has been fined £7,600 and banned from driving for 20 months.
