The Business Secretary Vince Cable admits he is unhappy with the performance of the North East economy, but believes the region is heading in the right direction.
Mr Cable spoke to ITV Tyne Tees during a visit a manufacturer on Tyneside, and told Dan Ashby that 'great things are happening'.

Vince Cable the Business Secretary is on Tyneside to look at the growing oil and gas industry.
During his visit Mr Cable said he was not happy with the North East economy but there were signs things were getting better.
He also said an article in the Economist, suggesting that parts of the North East should be left alone was not correct.
