Searches of the Northumberland countryside are continuing for Janis Hall, who has been missing for more than a week.
There has been no contact with Mrs Hall since she spoke to a member of her family on the telephone on 19th December. She was reported missing from her home in Catton later that night.
Earlier this week, Mrs Hall's daughter, son and daughter-in-law appealed for people to report any sightings of their mother to the police.
The family of a missing Northumberland woman have appealed for help in finding her before Christmas.
Janis Hall has not been seen since Wednesday 18th December. She spoke to a family member on the phone on Thursday afternoon but was reported missing later that day.
Mrs Hall lives in the village of Catton near Allendale in Northumberland where she is an active member of the community. She walks regularly in the local countryside.
Her family say Mrs Hall had been upset by the death of her husband six months ago, but say it is 'completely out of character' for her to go missing.
She had made plans for Christmas, and was intending to visit her son and daughter-in-law on the 25th December.

Police are asking the public for help to trace a woman who's been missing from her home in Northumberland since Thursday. 65 year old Janis Hall left her house in Hexham after around 2 o clock but hasn't been seen since.
Police say her disappearance is entirely out of character. and they're concerned for her wellbeing. They're urging anyone who may know of her whereabouts to come forward.
