Police on Tyneside are hunting a man they believe tied up a woman and appealing left with a quantity of cash after a robbery in a post office.
Police have released an image of a man they want to speak to in connection with a robbery at a Post Office on Tyneside. Officers were called to a branch in the Gosforth area of Newcastle at just before 9am on Friday after reports a man had stolen cash and tied up a female member of staff.
The man is described as being white, more than six feet tall, medium build and wearing a blue or purple hooded top. He was seen in Gosforth Central Park, close to the scene of the robbery near the High Street, at around 8am.
A woman is suffering from shock and minor injuries, after being tied up during a robbery.
It happened this morning, at the post office where she worked in Gosforth on Tyneside.
