Thousands flocked to Newcastle's Centre for Life over the weekend to learn learn from some of the most creative inventors in the world at the Maker Fair science festival.
They got the opportunity to get their hands on soldering irons and electrical components to create their own tech.
A giant robotic hand with hydraulically-powered fingers that give it the superhuman strength to crush almost anything in its grasp, is one of the headline attractions at the Maker Faire UK exhibition held at the Life Science Centre in Newcastle this weekend (26 & 27 April).
