Nationally unemployment has dropped. The North East is the only region to see a rise.
Unemployment in the North East has increased by 5,000 in the quarter to March, official figures have shown.
According to the Office for National Statistics (ONS), 135,000 people were unemployed in the region between January and March.
The region's unemployment rate was 10.1% and saw a rise of 3.8% during the period.
