Police on Teesside say they have received a number of calls after releasing CCTV showing a man they would like to speak to in connection with a serious sexual assault.

A 52-year-old woman was attacked early in the morning on Saturday 7 June on Borough Road in Middlesbrough as she walked to work.

Det Sgt Jon Hagen of the Major Crime Team said that they are still appealing for anyone who saw the man in Middlesbrough town centre, especially the Linthorpe and Borough Roads area, from around 4am, to come forward:

“It may be that people have been out socialising or travelling to or from work and they have seen this man in the town centre or hanging around between there and the North Ormesby flyover."
