Police say they won't give up hope of finding out what has happened to Janis Hall. Detectives say they have been inundated with potential sightings of her since she went missing in December. Watch Kenny Toal's full report here.
Police are renewing their appeal for a woman who is still missing from her home in Northumberland - where she was last seen six months ago.
"Janis Hall's family are still waiting to find out where she is and we are again asking for help from the public to help us locate her. It is out of character for Janis to go missing and we need to find out what has happened. "The local community in Catton have been very supportive of the police enquiries and have been most helpful in coming forward with information. Earlier this year a public meeting was held in the village when officers updated residents on the investigation so far. The meeting was well attended by the community who are keen to do all they can to help us locate Mrs Hall."
– Superintendent Mick Paterson, Northumbria Police
"We will continue to follow up any new lines of enquiry and are keeping an open mind as to what has happened. We are asking anyone with information to contact police and are hoping we can find Mrs Hall safe and well. "I would once again urge anyone with any information at all - no matter how small or irrelevant they may believe it is - to contact the police, it may just be the key information we need to find Mrs Hall."
Northumbria Police have renewed their appeal for information, six months after a woman was last seen at her Northumberland home.
Janis Hall aged 65, was reported missing from her home in Catton, near Hexham, at 10.42pm, on Thursday, December 19.
She had last spoken to a relative on the phone at around 2pm that afternoon before she disappeared.
Since then extensive enquiries have been carried out, but there has been no contact from Janis and no confirmed sightings of her since then.
She is described as being 5ft 4ins tall, of medium build, with grey short hair, and wearing glasses.
When last seen she is believed to have been wearing a green fleece coat, black trousers and a Russian fur hat.
