Kelly Collier was on board the Jet2 flight LS597 to Faro when it experienced problems.
She told ITV Tyne Tees: "the air pressure dropped in the cabin and everyone had earache."
"Ambulances and fire engines were around us at the end of runway."
No one was hurt in the incident.
