Police have released a new photograph of a missing woman from Newcastle.

Lynda Foulkes, 46, went missing from her home in Bury, Greater Manchester on July 10. It's believed she may be in Northumberland or on North Tyneside.

Anyone who may have seen Lynda is asked to contact Northumbria Police on 101.

Search continues for missing woman

Police are continuing to search for Lynda Foulkes, who went missing from her home in Greater Manchester on July 10.

Superintendent Alan Veitch said:

"Lynda grew up in the Gosforth area of Newcastle and although she has since moved away, she still has family living in Newcastle and has strong links to this area.

"She used to visit Wallington Hall when she was a child and we believe she may be in that area now. "We also know that she has links to the Whitley Bay area, in particular St Mary's Lighthouse and used to enjoy sitting on the benches overlooking the sea.

"She loves the outdoors, in particular rural areas and the coast, so we are asking people who are out and about in our area to keep an eye out for Lynda and contact us if they see her, or think they may have seen her.

"She has not been seen since Thursday afternoon and we are become increasingly concerned for her welfare, so we are asking people to contact us immediately if they have any information that would help to locate her.

"We are also appealing for Lynda herself to contact us and let us know she is okay."

Extensive enquiries are ongoing to try and trace a missing woman who may be in the North East.

Lynda Foulkes, 46, went missing from her home in Bury on July 10.

Superintendent Alan Veitch, from Northumbria Police, said:

"Lynda has not been seen since Thursday afternoon and we are become increasingly concerned for her welfare.

"We know that she has links with the Northumberland and North Tyneside areas and we believe she may visit those areas.

"We are asking the public to contact us immediately if they see her.

"We are also appealing for Lynda herself to contact us and let us know she is okay."

Police are appealing for help to find a missing woman from Bury.

Lynda Foulkes, 46, was last seen in the Ainsworth area of Bury at around 3pm on July 10. She has links to North East it is believed she may visit the Wallington Hall or Belsay area in Northumberland, or the Whitley Bay area of North Tyneside.

Ms Foulkes is described as being around 5ft 5in tall, of slim build with short black/grey hair. She was last seen wearing grey trousers, a navy blue hooded top and walking trainers.

Anyone who may have seen Lynda or may have information of her whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101 extension 69191.
