Kilty helps England take Commonwealth silver

The fastest man in the world peers down from the top of the podium at the England team who almost caused huge upset in the 4 x 100m relay.

Stockton's Richard Kilty ran a strong third leg for England, putting the team marginally ahead of their Jamaican rivals as he passed the baton to teammate Danny Talbot for the final sprint.

But in the end Talbot was no match for Usain Bolt, striding out to take gold for Jamaica.


Drinkhall out of Table Tennis Men's Singles

Teesside's Paul Drinkhall has been knocked out of the Table Tennis Men's Singles event at the Commonwealth Games.

The 24-year-old, from Loftus, was beaten 11-7, 11-6, 12-10, 9-11, 11-6 (4-1) by India's Saratha Kamal Achanta at the Quarter-Final stage.

But Drinkhall will be back in action in the Men's Doubles Bronze Medal Match.
