Man charged over Middlesbrough death
Police have charged a 23-year-old with the murder of a Middlesbrough man.
61 year old John Barry Coates was found dead in his flat in Cargo Fleet Lane a week ago by one of his brothers.
A 23-year-old man will appear at Teesside Magistrates tomorrow morning.

Police launch murder hunt
A murder investigation is underway following the death of a 61 year old man at his home on Teesside. 61 year old John Coates was found dead at his flat in Middlesbrough last week.
Detectives are appealing for anyone who saw Mr Coates in the days leading up to his death to come forward.

Middlesbrough death now treated as suspicious
Cleveland Police are treating the death of a man whose body was found almost a week ago as suspicious.
Officers were called to Fleet House, Cargo Fleet Lane in Middlesbrough last Thursday after the body of a 61-year-old man was found.
A special post-mortem was carried out yesterday and police have today formally announced the death as suspicious.
The man’s family has been informed and they are being supported by trained police family liaison officers
