The family of a missing Northumberland woman have appealed for help in finding her before Christmas.
Janis Hall has not been seen since Wednesday 18th December. She spoke to a family member on the phone on Thursday afternoon but was reported missing later that day.
Mrs Hall lives in the village of Catton near Allendale in Northumberland where she is an active member of the community. She walks regularly in the local countryside.
Her family say Mrs Hall had been upset by the death of her husband six months ago, but say it is 'completely out of character' for her to go missing.
She had made plans for Christmas, and was intending to visit her son and daughter-in-law on the 25th December.
