HUMBERSIDE Police were contacted by Scarborough General Hospital, shortly after 0600hrs yesterday morning (Sunday 17 March ), after a Bridlington man had been taken to the hospital by a friend in a serious condition.
The 23-year-old man was sadly pronounced dead at hospital and the police notified.
The circumstances of the man's death are not clear and officers are currently undertaking enquiries to establish events leading to his death.
There were no signs of violence and a post mortem examination is due to take place tomorrow (Tuesday 19 March) which is hoped may provide further information.

Keith Wright, 50, had been on life-support in Leeds General Infirmary since he was attacked at 7.40pm on January 21. He died at 9am today.

Liam Matthew Wyard, 19, and a 16-year-old youth who cannot be named for legal reasons, have been charged with unlawful and malicious wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The pair are due to appear at York Crown Court in April.
With winter approaching, the Office of National Statistics has released figures that show that the North East had the lowest number of winter deaths last year.
Across the country there were 24,000 deaths linked to cold weather - with the North East recording the lowest excess winter mortality rate.
Overall, almost 20,000 of the "excess winter deaths" were among people over the age of 75, with the 20,000 figure down on the previous winter when there were an estimated 26,800 cold weather-related deaths in England and Wales.
The ONS said mortality peaked in February, which is likely to be related to bouts of flu and cold temperatures.

65 year old Bob Lund, from Beverley in East Yorkshire, became trapped between two carriages at Grosmont station yesterday. Paramedics were called but Mr Lund died at the scene.
