Police have launched an investigation after a man's death in Sunderland.
Officers were called to Toward Road after a report of men with guns inside the address last night.
It was established that the report was false and had come from an address in Wetherby Road - police attended that address and spoke with the caller.
While at the address the caller, a 36-year-old man, became unwell and an ambulance was called to the address.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics and taken to Sunderland Royal Hospital where he died.
Enquiries are ongoing and will be referred to the IPCC.
Police investigating the death of a man at Marsden Grotto earlier this month are seeking further witnesses.
The incident happened in the early hours of Sunday morning, July 6, at the cliffs at Marsden, in South Shields.
During the arrest of a man at approximately 12.40am, a passing car stopped at the scene and two men offered their assistance to officers.
Police are now appealing for these two men to come forward and give officers details about what they witnessed as it is believed they may have information which could help with the investigation.
Enquiries into the incident are continuing.

An elderly man has died after being injured during a fall on a bus in Ashington last week.
The X20 bus was travelling between Amble and Newcastle at around 5pm on Thursday March 20 when it stopped at a pedestrian crossing.
The passenger was taken to Wansbeck Hospital, where he died in the early hours of this morning (March 27).
Officers want to speak to any witnesses who have not yet come forward.
