Duchess of Cambridge to visit the North East alone
The Duchess of Cambridge will be visiting the region on Wednesday without The Duke of Cambridge.
Following the death of his former nanny Olga Powell in September, Prince William will instead attend her funeral.
Mrs Powell is said to have played a significant role during his and Harry's childhood.
The Duchess of Cambridge will still fulfil the engagements as planned in Newcastle, Gateshead and Stockton.
