A record turnout of runners will pound the pavements of Tyneside this weekend in the Great North 10K (Gateshead.)
Around 5,000 runners will line the route on the banks of the Tyne on Sunday (July 3).
The event has been very popular with places going two weeks before the event.
New this year too - alongside the main event - are the Family Mile and Toddler Dash events, which will give younger runners from the age of three to get in on the action.
North-East music legends Lindisfarne will perform at the start of the race.
Apprentice star Katie Bulmer-Cooke is returning to Gateshead to warm up the thousands of runners at the start line.

Toby Henderson and his family, who created the Toby Henderson Foundation, were in Gateshead to launch this year's Great North 10k. Lesley Henderson, Toby's mother, said she was extremely proud to see her son training to take part in the race.
