There'll now be no Metro trains between Monument and Heworth tonight.
Engineers are still working on the lines.
No word on tomorrow yet or when services will be resumed.
More buses have been put on ahead of rush hour as disruption continues on the Tyne and Wear Metro.
The trains are currently not running between Heworth and Gateshead.
Metro services are currently suspended between Monument and Heworth due to a section of overhead line coming down near Gateshead Stadium.
A replacement bus service is operating instead - it will call at Metro stations on the route.
Passengers are advised to allow extra time to complete their journeys.
Metro services between Heworth and South Shields and Heworth and South Hylton are now operating.
So what happened?
- The overhead line came down at Hebburn last night at 6pm. Nexus worked through the night to repair it for this morning.
- The overhead line then came down at Gateshead Stadium at 8am today (Thurs). Engineers were sent to the site to carry out an assessment and start repairs.
Metro operator Nexus says parts of the line which closed earlier have now reopened.
The only stretch which remains shut is that between Heworth and Monument.
A replacement bus service is in operation between the two stations.
Nexus says engineers remain on site by Gateshead Stadium, but the line is likely to remain closed until this evening.
Police were called to Heworth Metro Station in Gateshead on Wednesday afternoon to reports of a man with a knife.
Northumbria Police have this evening released a statement saying that two women received hand injuries and a man has been arrested on suspicion of affray.
He is currently in custody.
The Swan pub in Heworth, Gateshead is closed today because of flood water.
