A Northumberland castle is up for sale for 1.75 million pounds. The Blenkinsopp Estate near Haltwhistle was bought for £2,000 in the 1950's. It includes a caravan park, a local pub and a house as well as the ruins of the 14th century castle.
The estate has been put up for sale in two lots, the first contains 70 homes and includes a license for 74 residential caravans plus planning permission for 11 holiday homes, it is on the market for £1.3 million.
The second is priced at nearly half a million and contains the ruins of Blenkinsopp castle and a three-bedroom Grade II listed house.
