Urban Games celebrate street culture in Newcastle

A festival created with money from the Olympics brings hip hop, street dance, rap, parkour and other urban arts to Newcastle this weekend.

14-year-old Akakayaz from Newcastle will be performing as part of the Urban Games in Newcastle this weekend.

Street dancers, free runners and DJs will perform at the launch of the Urban Games.

The festival is part of the Cultural Olympiad - the money set aside for the arts - and takes place in August.
