A Teesside mum is celebrating her first mother’s day with her twin babies - who almost didn’t survive their premature birth. Ruth Burnell’s two girls, Annabel and Charlotte, were born fifteen weeks early.
They spent more than two months in intensive care while doctors nursed them through infections and illness. It was three weeks until Ruth could cuddle them. She says today is very emotional.
