Cleveland Police has paid tribute to its Head of Crime, Detective Chief Superintendent Stewart Swinson, who died earlier today.
Enquiries are ongoing into the circumstances surrounding Mr Swinson’s death, but it is not being treated as suspicious.
Our thoughts are with Stewart’s family, friends and colleagues at this difficult time. Stewart had a great passion for the job he did; he was dedicated, hardworking and respected by everyone who knew him and who worked with him. He was an extremely valued member of Cleveland Police and we shall all miss him greatly.”
