O'Neill insists Sunderland have lots to play for

Sunderland Manager Martin O'Neill says his team need to start a "new adventure" after this week's disppointing FA Cup exit.

The Black Cats were well beaten By Everton in Tuesday Night's Quarter-final replay, which was screened live on ITV1.

Tomorrow, the Wearsiders head for title-chasing Manchester City. O'Neill fully accepts the scale of the task ahead at the Etihad Stadium, but this morning he rejected suggestions that Sunderland's season is effectively over.

The Ulsterman is anxious to match last season's 10th place premier league finish, or better it, and he expects his players to remain focussed during the run in.
