A dementia conference is being held in Durham to share best practice, ideas and explore how dementia care can be improved for people living with the illness in the region.

Over 30,000 people in the north east have dementia, but of that only 15,014 have been diagnosed.

The north east NHS is asking doctors, nurses and healthcare professionals in the region to help improve the quality of care they receive.
