Road closures have been confirmed for Sunday 6 May in Sunderland for this years Run Sunderland Festival. Numerous roads will be affected by the event, including the Wearmouth Bridge, and both closures and diversion plans will be in place on the day.
The council has written to businesses and residents in the city with detailed information about the schedule of road closures. The first roads to close will be Stadium Way at the Black Cat House roundabout, and parts of Millennium Way, at 4.30am.
Roads will start to open again in stages; a few will open at 10.30am, but the majority will open at times during the afternoon. Full details can be found at: www.marathonofthenorth.co.uk
