Is William Hague right to join protests over local hospital cuts?

Plans to reduce overnight paediatric and specialist maternity facilities at the Friarage hospital in Northallerton North Yorkshire have provoked protests from local communities.

The Richmond MP and Foreign Secretary William Hague joined one large protest rally. Now his involvement in the event has been raised at Prime Minister's Questions with the Labour MP for Middlesbrough South and East Cleveland, Tom Blenkinsop claiming that Mr Hague called the NHS cuts 'unacceptable'
