The woman found dead in a house in Teesside has been named as Christine Henderson.
Ms Henderson was discovered in an address on Cherwell Terrace, Middlesbrough.
She had recently lived in the Hartlepool area.
A post mortem concluded the 50-year-old died of stab wounds.
Police continue to question a 47-year-old man in connection with the incident.
