Northumbria Police to support G4S at St. James' Park

Northumbria Police officers have been called in to boost Olympic venue security in Newcastle, only days after troops were called on to fill gaps because of G4S staffing shortages.

An ex police officer who turned down an offer to work on the security during the Olympics, was still sent an official security pass giving him access to all areas.
