The man behind Gateshead's iconic 'Angel of the North', Antony Gormley, will be made and honorary Freeman of the town today.
The sculptor will be given the honour alongside the founders of the BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art, Sune Nordgren and Alan Smith, at a ceremony later.
