A school in Gateshead says it will** **be ready to open for the autumn term after it was devastated by floods. The Joseph Swan Academy was hit hard in the torrential rainstorm at the end of June.
Despite more flooding two weeks ago, re-building work has been taking place throughout the summer holiday. All 1200 students will be welcomed back in the first week of September.
