A school in Gateshead, which was devastated by floods, says it will be ready to open for the autumn term. Joseph Swan Academy was hit hard in the torrential rainstorm at the end of June.
Refurbishments have been taking place throughout the summer holiday. Despite more flooding two weeks ago, students will be welcomed back in the first week of September.
