First stage of digital television switchover is complete

Some viewers watching on analogue from Pontop Pike transmitter might see BBC One by selecting the button for BBC Two because a change in frequency.

Almost 90,000 homes can now view digital television after the BBC Two analogue signal was switched off last night.

Anyone watching digital television through an aerial service like Freeview, BT Vision or Top-Up TV will need to retune today and again on the 26th of September when the digital switchover will be complete.
