PC David Rathband's inquest delayed

An inquest into the death of Pc David Rathband, who was found hanged at his home, has been delayed after the coroner received more information. A hearing was due to be held in Blyth, Northumberland, on October 3rd but Eric Armstrong says that will now be an administrative exercise.

Pc Rathband, who was shot twice by Raoul Moat in July 2010, was found dead at his home in February. The 43-year-old father-of-two had recently returned from a trip to Australia where he visited his twin Darren.

"I am told more detailed information is coming and I want people to have the opportunity to study that before the resumed inquest date."
