The son of PC David Rathband says yesterdays shootings in Manchester brought back the horrific moment he learnt his father had been shot by Raoul Moat.
David Rathband was found hanged at his home in Blyth in Northumberland last February.
Ash Rathband has taken up the mantle at the Blue Lamp Foundation, a charity set-up by his father to help emergency services and their families caught up in tragic events like this.
